About the Hiring Coordinator position

USDR will be expanding our team in 2022 so we are looking for an efficient and effective part-time Hiring Coordinator to undertake a variety of hiring administrative duties. You will facilitate daily hiring functions like communicating with candidates and supporting the interview process. Your role, also, involves performing tasks with a focus to grow our company’s talent pipeline and improve our sourcing tactics.

The ideal candidate will have some experience working within hiring roles, but it is not required. Most importantly, we are looking for detail- and action-oriented folks with strong communication skills and an ability to juggle multiple workstreams. Strong candidates will be able to work autonomously and be ready to learn.

Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Set up new roles in our applicant tracking system

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop a hiring strategy, lead weekly meetings with hiring managers, and run interview debriefs

  • Ongoing professional communication with applicants about where they are in the hiring pipeline

  • Working closely with the Chief Experience Officer team to improve existing or create new recruitment processes

  • Be able to effectively communicate the mission and vision of USDR to interested candidates

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 2+ years of experience working in an administrative role.
  • Strong work ethic, keen analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills and strict attention to detail.
  • Experience working within hiring and recruitment processes is a plus. Experience working to hire technologists is an extra bonus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements.
  • Strong interest in ensuring we hire a team that can support equitable, effective access to public services using modern technology, design, and research practices.

Application Process:

Applications will be accepted until the role is filled, but the team will begin reviewing applications on January 3rd. USDR will conduct an application and resume review, followed by a series of interviews with various members of the USDR team. We are aiming to fill this role quickly.

    What you’ll get:

    • A competitive salary, consistent with similar roles in other tech non-profits in the Bay Area where USDR is headquartered. The hourly rate for this role is $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.
    • Generous time-off policies, including two week-long organizational closures.
    • A budget for team-level learning and development and opportunities for career growth and advancement.
    • A supportive community where everyone can thrive and find a balance between working hard to make a difference and taking care of themselves in a difficult time. This means that we are committed to a fully remote work environment (for US-based employees) along with flexible schedules and time off policies that work with your life.
